I love to cook, eat, and talk about food. I'm probably making a big mess in my kitchen right now.
I grew up on the Standard American Diet or SAD diet. Like most Americans, I ate processed and fast. In college, I was no healthier, as I added cafeteria food, dieting, and wild antics to my long list of unhealthy choices.
It wasn’t until I had my first child that I was challenged with, how the food we eat, has a direct impact on our body, mind, and well-being.
My daughter’s food allergies and health conditions pushed me to learn to cook more mindfully, and understand firsthand the direct impact food has on health. She was misdiagnosed for years, and remained symptomatic. There was so much contradictory advice
My daughter's health conditions have lead me through countless hours of research, doctors’ appointments, therapies, recipe trials, grocery investigations, herbs, supplements, and natural alternatives. Everything changed when I discovered an integrative approach to wellness at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have been immersed in hundreds of nutritional books and theories, and tried thousands of recipes. I live and practice a more natural lifestyle, with my family and my clients. This includes nutrition, life style choices, exercise, stress reduction, and essential oils.
I am a certified Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. IIN is the world’s leading nutrition school. I have studied Ayurveda, a 5000-year-old system of natural healing, to hundreds of modern dietary theories like Paleo, keto, macrobiotics, GAPS, RAW food, and vegan.
I have dual Master's degrees in education and leadership, as a result, I understand the intricacies of learning. This is beneficial in helping my clients attain an integrative approach to nutrition and wellness that lasts a lifetime.
One of my favorite credentials is my yoga teacher certification. I have been practicing for a decade, and I am certified through Open Doors Yoga Studios.
I attained additional certification in hormone health at IIN for Alumni. I am always immersed in conferences, classes, and workshops as it is my mission to be an unshakable wellness advocate
Currently, I lead corporate wellness seminars and teach yoga for Fitspot Wellness. I am also a part of the progressive team at Chicago Weight loss and Wellness Clinic where I am a wellness coach.
Additionally, I lead location workshops, wellness coach, and teach yoga at health retreats across the country.
